Karis Neighbour Scheme

December 14 2015
Church of the Redeemer, Monument Road, Birmingham, B16 8UU

Karis Neighbour Scheme provides practical support – gardening or simple home repairs one-off decorating help or DIY & food parcels. There is sometimes a waiting list for these services.

Befriending – volunteer befrienders can visit people in their own homes. For people with dementia it depends on the availability of suitable volunteers.

Advocacy & Advice – help with filling in forms writing letters and with accessing specialist advice (e.g. Debt or Immigration Advice) via drop-in sessions or home visits.

Further activities are English classes arts and crafts and gardening.

In Harborne the project has a focus on work with older people.
