Dementia Adventure is a charity dedicated to bringing the benefits of nature based activities and adventures into the lives of more people living with dementia.

Dementia Adventure work in partnership with individuals and organisations across the UK so that all people living with dementia can have a sense of adventure in their lives regardless of where they live.

They plan and delivering specially designed small group short breaks and holidays for people living with dementia and their carers to enjoy together. This is designed as an alternative to traditional respite which can be stressful for many people living with dementia.

People living with dementia can often feel that holidays, travel and outdoor activity are things that are no longer available to them. Dementia Adventure specialise in designing and delivering smallgroup short breaks and holidays for people living with dementia, their partners, family, friends or carer to enjoy together.

People living with dementia and their carers all benefit from being able to get out in the open air and sunshine, with the sights, sounds and smells being relaxing and stimulating at the same time. People often report being able to sleep better after the walks, and have an increase in appetite too.

Dementia Adventure provide training, research, and consultancy services – all with nature in mind.

Dementia Adventure is  a Community Interest Company operating for the benefit of the community rather than for personal gain. Dementia Adventure is based in Essex but work nationally and have an international following.
