Helping primary care to support people with dementia

The National Valuing Families Forum

June 18 2014
32-36 Loman Street, London, SE1 0EH

The National Valuing Families Forum brings together a network of regional family carer organisations to consult and feed into government policy and legislation affecting those with learning disabilities and their families.

The Forum is facilitated by Carers Trust and developed informally through the Valuing People Now programme leads for families who drew together representatives from family carers across the country.

The Forum helps the National Learning Disability Programme Board know what is important for families. It also provides direct links between family members who sit on local Learning Disability Partnership Boards, Regional and National Learning Disability Programme Boards and the Standing Commission on Carers.
