Helping primary care to support people with dementia

Women’s experiences of dementia

June 1 2015

The ‘Women’s experiences of dementia’ website contains a wealth of stories which highlight the experiences of women affected by dementia.

These stories enable practitioners to explore the implications of the perspectives of women on dementia research, policy and practice.

Visit the ‘Women’s experiences of dementia’ website at and download the booklet Women’s experiences of dementia

The website is the product of a project jointly run by Innovations in Dementia and the Social Policy Research Unit at the University of York. It is funded by Joseph Rowntree Foundation as part of their Dementia Without Walls programme.
