Improving Dementia Education and Awareness (IDEA)

Improving Dementia Education and Awareness (IDEA) is a free online resource http://idea.nottingham.ac.uk, managed by the University of Nottingham, aimed at improving the care and quality of life of people with dementia.

If you are a carer, care worker or health professional for a person with dementia, then the IDEA website is for you.

IDEA provides access to free online training courses. Registered users can also gain free access to a personalised study area.

IDEA also provides a wide range of audio-visual and text material. In order to support accredited learning, you can browse this material around the Skills for Care Qualifications and Credit Framework units for Awareness of Dementia.

There are also discussion forums to help you in tackling issues or problems and finding support related to dementia.
