The Care Bill: factsheets
January 10 2014These factsheets will help practitioners to better support patients and carers to get the care and support they need, following the changes introduced by the Care Bill, published in 2013.
The Care Bill prioritises people’s wellbeing, needs and goals so that individuals will no longer feel like they are battling against the system to get the care and support they need. It highlights the importance of preventing and reducing needs, and putting people in control of their care and support. For the first time, it puts carers on a par with those for whom they care.
