Helping primary care to support people with dementia

Local Care Providers

April 29 2020

Care for your loved one can be provided in a variety of ways –

Residential Care Homes – provide ‘home-style’, live-in accommodation, with 24 hour-a-day supervised staffing for residents who may need extra help and support with their personal care.

Nursing Homes – provide 24 hour care and support, as above, but with added nursing care and assistance for residents who require input from and supervision by a registered nurse.

Domiciliary care – care provided to people who still live in their own homes but require additional support with activities, including household tasks, personal care and any other activity that allows them to maintain both their independence and quality of life.
