Pudbrook House Day Centre is run by the independent charity One Community and offers enjoyable and stimulating day care for people with dementia.

There is a programme of activities and occupations that reflects the comments and suggestions of people attending the centre as well as the ideas of staff and volunteers.

One Community help children, families, disadvantaged, disabled and/or older people remain independent and engaged in their local community. The Day Care Service has been developed over the last decade and now encompasses a range of day care centres serving frail older people in the borough of Eastleigh.

Some centres cater for people who have dementia or with a physical disability. Day centres are managed in three groups, each with a Day Centre Manager, a team of three paid staff and volunteers.

Day centres are funded through Adult Social Services Departments and the criteria for admission reflect the current policies of those agencies.

The centres provide a service for people who, through frailty or disability, are unable to participate in other clubs and societies and would otherwise be socially isolated.
